exocad license models: flexible, simple, customized, integrated

We offer our customers two different license models (Flex and Perpetual) with a total of three options.

You can choose between:

• Flex License (RECOMMENDED) which is basically a leased license. You can think of it like you would lease a car. You get the latest advancements and model and you are always up to date as long as your subscription is active.
  
  • The essential flex core license: "Exocad DentalCAD [Flex]" covers the first year of support
  • The required upgrade contract: "Update & Support for Exocad DentalCAD [Flex]" has to be purchased along with the core license at the time of purchase
  • Your "Exocad DentalCAD [Flex]" will stop working if you choose to cancel your subscription, after the end of the subscription date has been reached. The default term is 1 year. As example, if you purchase in February and decide to cancel your subscription in April, your license will continue to work until next year February.
  • The required upgrade contract: "Update & Support for Exocad DentalCAD [Flex]" covers the following:
  • Software Updates
  • Software Support Level 1 through Dicks Dental
  • Software Support Level 2 through Dicks Dental, escalated to Exocad Support
  • Integration into your network and environment through Dicks Dental
  • Customization (*through existing xml flags, no extensive coding) to fit into your existing laboratory and laboratory workflow through Dicks Dental
  • Support for integration and customization 
  • Consultation to optimize existing workflows or to establish new workflows (*additional charges may apply)

Flex License

The Flex License is a subscription-based model with various benefits, such as a low initial cost and flexible activation/ deactivation of modules. Regular upgrades are included in the price. The Flex License is the right choice for those who like to play it safe.

• Perpetual License,
  • which is in essence a fully purchased license, which will not expire or stop to work, but tends to be outdated and unsupported after the initial update and support plan has expired 
    • We offer an optional upgrade contract: "Update & Support for Exocad DentalCAD [Perpetual]"
      • Perpetual licenses or "Update & Support for Perpetual Licenses are currently NOT available in our online store, but available upon request
      • We are able to provide you with these type of licenses if requested, but we would like to discuss the benefits of the Flex licensing with you over the phone or in a video meeting first.

Information on Perpetual Licenses:

While our Perpetual Licenses generally have unlimited validity, technical progress in hardware and software development can mean that these licenses cannot be used for an indefinite period. Since legacy licenses may not be compatible with new operating systems or computers, certain situations may require an upgrade to a current exocad software for secure operation. Example: The legacy license in question is only compatible with operating system versions for which the manufacturer no longer offers security updates.
